Project Summary
As creative director, I provide overall direction and guidance, helping shape the visual vision for the magazine and ensuring each issue reflects the mission behind it. I work closely with our Senior Art Director, who leads the day-to-day design and production of the magazine, and with our Senior Graphic Designer, offering strategic input, feedback and creative oversight along the way.
My focus is on the big picture: that the magazine’s look and feel stays cohesive, that the design supports the storytelling and that photography and design choices serve the animals and people at the center of each story. I review work in progress, help the team solve creative challenges, and support their growth as designers and art directors.
Because the magazine serves a mission, I help make sure every visual decision balances emotional impact with honesty and respect. The result is a publication readers want to pick up, trust and be moved by.
